How to make: Onigiri, an easy to carry and quite filling rice ball snack! It’s really easy to make a batch of these and snack on them when you are hungry. They’re super simple to make and quick too!

Fold the nori sheets into quarters horizontally, and cut along the folds. Alternatively, fold them in half and cut along the fold. | 焼きのりは横に4等分に折り、折り目に沿って切る。もしくは、半分に折り、折り目に沿って切る。 |

Wet your hands with water, sprinkle salt on them, and rub them together to distribute the salt evenly. Place 100g of rice in your palm, make a small indentation in the center, and place a pickled plum (umeboshi) in the indentation. If using plastic wrap: Cut the nori sheets in half. Sprinkle salt on a piece of plastic wrap, place 50g of rice on top, make a small indentation in the center, and place a pickled plum (umeboshi) in the indentation. Place another 50g of rice on top, gather the plastic wrap around the rice, and shape it with both hands. | ラップで行う場合:焼きのり(2枚)は半分に切る。ラップの上に塩をし、ごはん(50g)をのせ、中央をくぼませて梅干しを入れて、その上にごはん(50g)をのせ、ラップを寄せ、両手で握る。 |
